For the past twenty-four hours, Hollywood has been in shock. Alec Baldwin was heard Thursday by the police after having shot the director of photography and injured the director of the film he was shooting. For the moment no legal action has been taken against the 63-year-old actor. Halyna Hutchins and Joel Souza “were shot and wounded when Alec Baldwin unloaded a gun used in the filming of “the movie” RustSanta Fe County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement to AFP. Rust is a western written and directed by Joel Souza, starring Alec Baldwin as co-producer and as the outlaw -law Harland Rust, who helps his 13-year-old grandson sentenced to hang for murder.
The investigation continued Thursday evening with in particular the hearing of witnesses by the police officers, specifies the press release. “Mr. Baldwin was questioned by police“, then told AFP the spokesperson for the sheriff of Santa Fe, Juan Rios.”He provided statements and answered some questions. He introduced himself voluntarily and left the building after the interrogation was over. No prosecution has been initiated and no arrests have been made“, he said.
Bruce Lee’s son died under similar conditions
If the drama has just hit the ex of Kim Basinger, this is unfortunately not the first time that it occurs. In March 1993, young actor Brandon Lee died in similar conditions on the set of the movie “The Crow” after being shot in the stomach. The weapon used to fire during a scene at Bruce Lee’s then 27-year-old son was believed to contain only blank bullets. But the autopsy report revealed he was hit by a 44-caliber projectile that got stuck in the barrel and dislodged by the detonation of the blank cartridge. The prosecutor in charge of the investigation had then concluded in “negligence”.
