Brossard | A house is engulfed in flames on Christmas Eve

A fire spread in the attic of a house in Brossard during Christmas Eve. No one was injured, but damages of several thousand dollars were inflicted on the residence.

A chimney fire is at the origin of the fire which damaged a residence on Rivard Street, in Brossard, indicates Sylvain Deschamps, division head of the fire safety service of the agglomeration of Longueuil (SSIAL).

Between 45 and 50 firefighters arrived at the scene around 8:45 pm The fire was controlled around midnight.

The two residents who were inside the house were not injured. Between 600,000 and 700,000 dollars in damages were inflicted on their homes.
