A cyclist lost his life after being hit by a car in Brossard on Friday evening.
The accident occurred around 8:00 p.m. on boulevard Taschereau near boulevard de Rome.
Although the driver of the vehicle, a man in his twenties, was not injured, he required treatment for nervous shock. The cyclist, a man in his fifties, was transported to a hospital center, where he was declared dead, said the Longueuil agglomeration police department (SPAL) in a Facebook post.
“A stage has been erected. Investigators, accident scene reconstructionists and members of the SPAL Forensic Identification Section were called to the scene. The precise circumstances leading to this accident remain to be determined.
