A few weeks ago, the 33-year-old center was traded to the Denver Broncos after spending the first 10 seasons of his career with the Seattle Seahawks.

Manning went through a very similar situation, having joined the Broncos for the last four years of his career after playing 13 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts.

“I’ve spoken with Russell a number of times and we’ve had conversations about a few things that have helped me in my transition to a new team,” Manning revealed to the Daily. The Denver Post.

“I think these are things that can help anyone making the jump, especially after being in one place for a long time. I also had conversations with the head coach [Nathaniel] Hackett about several things that helped and hurt me. I think that can allow Russell to be successful in his first year here.”

With the Broncos, Manning made the playoffs in all of his seasons, made the Super Bowl twice and won top honors once.

The legendary quarterback believes Wilson has the skills to be as successful as he is with the Denver club.

“It’s his leadership and his work ethic,” Manning said when asked what impressed him about the newcomer to the Broncos. He also has a lot of skills and talent on the pitch. His ability to get out of the protective pocket and also to fire passes while he is in it is something unique. He will work very hard to be on the same wavelength as his new receivers.
