Bromont ski resort: a “young man” involved in a tragic accident

A young skier was involved in a tragic accident on Saturday evening in Bromont.

The victim is believed to be a “young man,” according to a Facebook post from the ski resort.

“It is with deep sadness that we inform you that a tragic accident involving a young man took place in the mountains this evening,” he said.

“Around 7 p.m., the patrollers were called to intervene in the mountains, added the ski center. The young man left by ambulance after our patrol officers had applied the protocols. Teams are currently working to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the event. To respect the procedures, the Bromont police will conduct an investigation.

The authorities had not confirmed the circumstances of the tragedy, late Saturday evening.

“This tragic event is very upsetting, added Bromont, mountain of experiences. Psychological support is offered to the teams directly involved in the intervention. All our thoughts go out to the family and loved ones of the young man.”
