” It’s sad. There are no other words. We all know that it’s part of the risks, it’s still a dangerous sport. We have to be careful, but we are always saddened when things like this happen, ”said skier Justine Leclaire on Sunday afternoon.

Very busy events

Saturday evenings, especially during Nuits Blanches, are very busy at the station. Catherine Frigon, who avoids them, maintains that some people are quite reckless at these parties.

“There are a lot of people who go extremely fast and who are dangerous. It doesn’t take much for an accident to happen,” she commented.

Roxane Southière has always felt safe on the slopes of Bromont. She does not exclude that accidents could happen, but says she is quite reassured by the “great responsiveness” of the mountain administrators.

“The track is closed to find out what happened. It is reassuring to see that they act quickly. I hope they will find solutions so that it does not happen again, ”she explained.

According to the director of sales and marketing of the station, Marc-André Meunier, the traffic on the mountain on Saturday evening is probably not in question, because the track concerned by the accident is generally not very busy.
