Thus, his funeral will take place at the Saint-Roch church, in the 1st arrondissement of Paris.
Initially, farewells were to be reserved for family and friends. However, Jane Birkin’s daughters, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lou Doillon, along with the rest of her family, have found a solution. The ceremony will take place at the Saint-Roch church, in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, and will be broadcast live on a giant screen at the corner of rue Saint-Honoré and rue des Pyramides, thus allowing the general public to attend and pay a last tribute to their idol.

On the announcement of his death, the city saluted “a great lady of simplicity, discretion and authenticity” before continuing: “It is this simplicity, this tranquility that Jane Birkin appreciated at Lannilis: she was herself, undisturbed by her fame, she was not a star, but quite simply Jane Birkin, going about her business or going shopping”.
This Monday, July 24, Lannilis will therefore pay tribute to his idol, the same day as his funeral which will take place in Paris. The ceremony will take the form of a moment of meditation at Espace Lapoutroie, opposite the Yves-Nicolas room.
