Over the weekend, articles published in the Sun and the DailyMail claimed that the former dancer had revealed to them that he was concerned that the singer of Toxic don’t take crystal meth. In an Instagram post on Sunday, she addressed the articles and revealed to her followers that it was “heartbreaking” to see Kevin Federline and their sons Sean Preston, 17, and Jayden James, 16, throwing such assertions.
“The fact that people claim things that aren’t true is so sad… Maybe it’s not even them saying such things because it doesn’t make sense to me for them to say that “, she wrote. “So you go behind my back and talk about me…It breaks my heart and it’s so low…I always felt like the media was harassing me…It’s sad because everyone stays there as if it’s normal to invent lies like this… Why am I being told that I have to calm down and move on from all this??? When they all go so low??? I hope it’s just that the media is full of hate and that Kevin or Preston didn’t say any of those things.”
In an Instagram statement, Kevin Federline said he ‘cut ties’ with journalist Daphne Barak in March after a series of headline-grabbing interviews ensured the new meth stories were fabricated . “It saddens our family that Daphne Barak and Erbil Gunasti have decided to fabricate lies and publish the grief our family has endured, as well as the trauma of our minor children in the DailyMail and the Sun, he wrote. His lies and attempts to exploit minors are clickbait and another disgusting example of where, sadly, some journalism has sunk today.”
Britney Spears’ lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, also sent a letter to the DailyMail asking its editors to “immediately delete and retract this false and defamatory story and conduct an internal investigation into this matter and the abuse of Britney and her children.”
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were married from 2004 to 2007. She recently gave him permission to move with their boys to Hawaii.
