Brad Pitt, who drove on the legendary track during the weekend, was present on the starting grid of the Grand Prix on Sunday in a white and black combination in the colors of Apex, alongside British actor Damson Idris, with who he shares the poster of the film which should be released at the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025 and will be broadcast on the Apple+ platform.

The 59-year-old actor clearly enjoyed his stay in England and was very enthusiastic after his foray into the world of F1.

“I’m having the best time of my life. It’s really great to be here, we have so much fun. Everyone was great with us, the teams opened their doors to us, the FIA ​​helped us a lot, as did Formula One and Stefano Domenicali,” the Hollywood star told Sky Sports F1.

With the director of the film Joseph Kosinski, who has just experienced great success with Top Gun: Maverickthe actor was even able to participate in the pre-race briefing with the pilots.

“It was probably the best briefing that we have ever had, “said seven-time British world champion Lewis Hamilton, who is also co-producer of the film, the title of which is still unknown.

The two Apex single-seaters, which have the characteristics of an F2 car but have been given an F1 makeover by Mercedes to blend in with the peloton, also took their places on the starting grid and took part in part of the formation lap. They were driven by former pilots Craig Dolby and Luciano Bacheta.

“It was a bit surreal to hang out with a world star. But when you have the opportunity to meet Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt or Roger Federer, you realize that they are normal people. He joked a lot and seemed to have a lot of fun. I can’t wait to see what the film is going to bring, ”said British driver George Russell.

On the track, the reigning double world champion Max Verstappen (Red Bull) won his eighth victory of the season in ten races, ahead of the Britons Lando Norris (McLaren) and Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), who ignited the approximately 160 000 spectators present Sunday at Silverstone.
