More than 50 years later L’Osstidchoa documentary film is being prepared on the legendary show which brought together Yvon Deschamps, Robert Charlebois, Louise Forestier and Mouffe.
” Everybody is here. We will relive the show through their eyes”, launches the director Louis-Philippe Eno who is at the helm of this documentary film project which will tell the story of L’Osstidcho. It refers to the four original artists of this show presented in 1968 and 1969: singer Robert Charlebois, comedian Yvon Deschamps, singer Louise Forestier and actress and lyricist Mouffe.
The title of this film, which will focus on this hybrid show (combining music and comedy numbers) that has become a milestone in the cultural history of Quebec, is still kept secret. The film is currently in the editing phase.
Encapsulating collective memory
With the same aim of “encapsulating the collective memory”, the 42-year-old director is also working on a second documentary film project. This will focus solely on Robert Charlebois.
Louis-Philippe Eno began following the 78-year-old singer shortly before the pandemic to collect his secrets from his home in Guadeloupe and that of Morin-Heights, Quebec. The duo will also soon fly to France where the artist will give concerts in Paris.

The director believes that “we have a duty of collective memory to do”. What also thinks the wife of Robert Charlebois, Laurence, on whom he could count to convince the artist that a documentary starring him was of public interest.

Louis-Philippe Eno has already worked on a few projects with the singer of I love you like crazy. He was the one who captured the show Robert en CharleboisScope (recipient of the Félix for show of the year in 2020) and that of the concert Charlebois to Ducharmebroadcast on Télé-Québec.
A well-known producer in the Quebec music world, Eno has been directing Les Trois Accords music videos for over 20 years, including the most recent, Internet.
He also works regularly with the singer Dumas, his great friend since he was 18 years old.
He is also the man behind music videos for Les Cowboys Fringants, including America is crying as well as the film that followed. America is crying – the moviea large-scale concert-event that was recorded in the middle of nature and was created from 16 songs from the group’s rich repertoire.
