Since she arrived at the Elysée Palace in 2017, Brigitte Macron has constantly reminded her: she is a committed woman, involved in many fights, including that of the Yellow Pieces or that against genetic diseases. It is for this purpose that she went this Monday at the 4th auction held in Paris, at the Imagine institute.
Organized in collaboration with Christie’s, it was also a success: more than 8.16 million euros were collected during an evening which took place in a good mood. It must be said that the host had been particularly well chosen: Gad Elmaleh, also often involved in charitable causes, made the show, as for previous editions.
And we could notice a certain closeness between the comedian and the first lady : very accomplices, both exchanged jokes throughout the evening in a much appreciated general good mood. The first lady then met the organizers of the evening and the directors of the Institute including Michel and Fati Rosenberg and Professor Stanislas Lyonnet, who have managed to collect more than 22 million euros in 4 sales since 2015.
“I want to express my gratitude to those who have lent us their talents, and to all the generous buyers of works of art or exceptional moments.“, has also greeted this one. Note thata big popular raffle is also organized by the Institute and allows you to win a racing car… by betting only 5 euros! A beautiful lot offered by a generous donor, and all the money raised will go to research.
During the evening, 38 lots were offered to the guests, including Caroline de Maigret and Thierry Ardisson. And to top off the show yet again, it’s the young Sanaa, 14 years old and suffering from Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, who came to do the show and amaze the celebrities. The young girl who participates in The Voice Kids, has also been warmly greeted by Gad Elmaleh.
Nowadays, 8,000 genetic diseases are listed affecting 35 million patients in Europe and 3 million in France. Today, 1 out of 2 children still leaves without a diagnosis and 90% of diseases have no treatment, research is therefore fundamental and all support is precious in this fight for life.
