This year, Emmanuel Macron will be alone at the Elysée for the traditional lily of the valley ceremony celebrated on May 1. In mourning, Brigitte Macron had to go to her hometown, Amiens, after the death of her older sister’s husband: Gérard Boulogne. Coming from a family of Amiens chocolate makers and daughter of Jean Trogneux (1909-1994) and Simone Pujol (1913-1998), the First Lady was able to find her brothers and sisters (she is the youngest of six siblings ) but also many members of his family.
As a reminder, Brigitte Macron is the mother of three children, the fruit of her marriage to André Louis Auzière (their union was celebrated in 1974): Sébastien (born in 1975), Laurence (born in 1977) and Tiphaine (born in 1984). Subsequently, she became the grandmother of seven grandchildren: Camille and Paul (fruits of the love between her son and Christelle Lorenzato), Emma, Thomas and Alice (born from the relationship between her daughter Laurence and Guillaume Jourdan ) and Élise and Aurélie (fruits of love between her daughter Tiphaine and her husband Antoine Choteau).
A large family in which Emmanuel Macron has integrated perfectly since his marriage to Brigitte Macron celebrated in 2007 in Le Touquet. Very close to his stepchildren, he had also agreed to reveal the secrets of his blended family with Brigitte.
Interviewed by children on the show Presidential: candidates on the board! broadcast on C8, the head of state had thus revealed why he had not wished to have children with his wife. “It’s a choice I made. Brigitte, my wife, had three children when I met her: older ones and younger ones. We asked ourselves the question and I considered that the most important thing was that we bring up the children well, that we love them… I have seven grandchildren.” he had indicated.
For his part, Emmanuel Macron is also very close to his nephews and nieces. As a reminder, the President of the Republic has a brother Laurent (born in 1979, married to Sabine Aimot) and a sister: Estelle (born in 1982, married to Carl Franjou).
