Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy | The Return of Bridget Jones

Bridget Jones is back. Renée Zellweger will reprise her famous role in a fourth film, production company Working Title announced Tuesday on X. Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy will be released in theaters on Valentine’s Day next year.


The American actress will reunite with her former playing partners Hugh Grant and Emma Thompson in this new part of this popular romantic comedy which will be directed by Michael Morris (To Leslie). The actors Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave) and Leo Woodall (The White Lotus) will join the cast.

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy will be an adaptation of the novel of the same name written by Helen Fielding and published in 2013. We will find the character of Bridget Jones, now in her fifties.

Released in 2001, 2004 and 2016 respectively, the first three films featuring the character of Bridget Jones accumulated worldwide box office receipts of more than $760 million.
