Natural disasters are increasing in Vietnam after Typhoon Yagi. On Monday, September 9, a bridge collapsed, throwing several vehicles into the void.
In a province northeast of Hanoi (Vietnam), a bridge collapsed Monday September 9, causing several cars and trucks to fall into the void. The structure collapsed into the muddy waters of the Red River. Several people are missing, those who could be rescued are taken to the hospital. “I feel like I escaped death, I don’t know how to swim and I thought I was going to die”testifies a survivor. “I fell with my vehicle into the river, I thought I was at the bottom of the water, I did my best to get back to the surface”adds another.
Almost nothing remains of the 375-meter-long bridge that was cut in two. Floods, landslides and landslides… Several days after the passage of Typhoon Yagi, Vietnam remains in the grip of multiple natural disasters, plunging many inhabitants into distress and fear.
