breakdown of negotiations between the former employees and the Etex owner

Bad Christmas surprise for the former employees of the Bègles stationery. The takeover project they have been carrying since the plant closed last March is not well underway. The owner of the site, the Belgian group Etex, has just broken off negotiations with them on Friday 24 December.

Representatives of the Avenir Papeterie de Bègles association expressed their disappointment and their incomprehension in a press release. They nevertheless remain convinced that their project is the best, and they say they are ready to work with the future buyer with whom they maintain their offer. The group has until December 31 to find a buyer.
