Brazilian Grand Prix | Max Verstappen triumphs again

(Sao Paulo) The Dutchman Max Verstappen (Red Bull), already assured of the title of 2023 world champion, easily won his 17th in Brazil on Sundaye Grand Prix of the season, ahead of Briton Lando Norris (McLaren).

Double Spanish world champion Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) finishes 3e ahead of the Mexican Sergio Pérez (Red Bull) by a breath, finally 4e only 53 thousandths behind Alonso.

Lance Stroll took fifth place. This is only the second time this year that the Canadian has managed to crack the top 5 — the first date of the Australian championship, a 6e place last April.

After finishing third in qualifying on Saturday, Stroll started in second position on Sunday. This is because Charles Leclerc, who was to start behind Verstappen, lost control of his car and hit the wall hard during the formation lap, just before the start of the race. This allowed Stroll to move up a rank. However, he was unable to convert this position into a podium.
