Brad Pitt stole the show in the paddock at Silverstone last weekend

Even though Lewis Hamilton is in his backyard at Silverstone, it was Brad Pitt who was the star of the paddock at the British Grand Prix last weekend.

The American actor was on the scene for the beginning of the shooting of a film which takes place in the world of Formula 1. We particularly noticed the presence of an 11e garage in the paddock for the fictional Apex stable, which will be the focus of the film produced by Apple TV and Jerry Bruckheimer, one of the owners of the Seattle Kraken.

Pitt drove on the Silverstone circuit over the weekend and was on the starting grid for Sunday’s race, wearing a black and white suit in the colors of the Apex team.

In the feature, due out in late 2024 or early 2025, Pitt co-stars with British actor Damson Idris.

Brad Pitt was prominent on the track before the start of the Grand Prix.

Nice stay

Pitt, 59, appears to have enjoyed his foray into the heart of Formula 1.

“I’m having the best time of my life,” he told Sky Sports TV. It’s really great to be here, we have so much fun. Everyone was great with us, the teams opened their doors to us, the FIA helped us a lot, as did Formula One and Stefano Domenicali.

It must be said that Pitt and director Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick) were even able to take part in the pre-race briefing with the drivers.

“It was probably the best briefing we’ve ever had,” said Lewis Hamilton, who has seen others.

The seven-time world champion is co-producer of the film.

Pitt, who is 59, appears to have had a great time during this foray into the heart of Formula 1. ple TV and Jerry Bruckheimer, one of the owners of the Seattle Kraken.

The two single-seaters of the Apex team are F2s that have been remodeled in F1 by Mercedes, and we see nothing but fire. We saw the cars on the start line and they took part in part of the formation lap.

Pitt’s passage left a strong impression on the pilots, who are stars themselves.

“It was a bit surreal to hang out with a world star,” George Russell said. But when you have the opportunity to meet Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt or Roger Federer, you realize that they are normal people. He joked a lot and seemed to be enjoying himself. I can’t wait to see what the film will give.
