Groupe Yvon Michel (GYM) announced on Thursday evening that it was postponing its gala scheduled for the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal on January 29 due to the risks associated with the spread of COVID-19. The gala will therefore take place on February 24, if the situation allows it.

According to the organizers, it was becoming difficult to put together a risk-free evening, especially since the pandemic situation is making the preparation of the athletes very difficult.
The gala will feature Montreal’s Mazlum Akdeniz, who will face Mexican Erick Encina. It will also be the return of Marie-Pier Houle in the ring, who will be opposed to Yamila Esther Reynoso. Then, it will also be an opportunity to see hopefuls Alexis Barrière, Eric Bresan and Derek Pomerleau at work.
GYM will also hold galas on March 11 at the Casino de Montréal cabaret, on March 25 at the Colisée Vidéotron in Trois-Rivières and on April 21, back at the Casino de Montréal.
