Despite the presence of Celine Dion in the credits of the film, the romantic comedy Love Again (Love Again) did not make the crowds run in the dark rooms. This very disappointing start was even called a “flop” by the magazine variety Sunday. love again had to settle for the sixth position at the box office, far behind the superhero film Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3, which grabbed the top spot with $114 million in receipts.
variety also points out thatlove again got only 17% positive reviews on the benchmark site Rotten Tomatoes, which compiles reviews from specialized journalists. “Fortunately, the film only cost $9 million to produce,” the magazine added.
Remember that Celine Dion plays herself in this romantic comedy by Jim C. Strouse starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan. The film tells the story of a journalist in heartbreak who must write a portrait of the Quebec diva and who will ask for her help to meet a young woman bereaved by the death of her fiancé. The film’s soundtrack includes five new songs by Celine Dion.
