Boulazac Basket Dordogne recruits leader Jamar Wilson as a medical freelancer

He’s a player “very experienced”, as the Boulazac Basket Dordogne said in a press release. The Boulazac basketball club is recruiting Jamar Wilson, a 38-year-old Finnish-American player as a medical freelancer, to compensate for the absences due to injuries of their point guard Nick Moore and their latest recruit, the Lithuanian Vitenis Cizauskas.

Passed through Bourg-en-Bresse and Nanterre

Jamar Wilson has thirty selections in the national team of Finland. He has a long professional career behind him, started in Belgium in Verviers in 2007. He had been under contract since 2020 with a Finnish club, but he went through Rouen in 2015, Nanterre in 2017 and Bourg-en-Bresse, in 2019, during which he scrapped with the BBD in Pro A.

“It’s an opportunity that we couldn’t pass up because he’s available straight away and he’s in good shape, and at this time of the year it’s important. He’s a player who can go on two positions, it’s a combo. In addition, he knows the French championship perfectly.”, assures Alexandre Ménard, the brand new BBD coach who is counting on him to help raise the bar. The BBD is currently fifteenth in Pro B, and is struggling to maintain it.
