Five men were taken into police custody on Wednesday on suspicion of an attempted kidnapping in Éguilles (Bouches-du-Rhône), franceinfo learned Thursday, September 29 from a source close to the investigation.
On Wednesday, September 28, a resident of the town warned the police that he had just seen a young man being kidnapped and placed in the trunk of a car by five hooded men.
Thanks to a friend of the kidnapped person, in contact with the suspects, the gendarmes of the company of Salon-de-Provence were able to set up a device to find the young man in good health. At the same time, the five men were arrested and taken into custody.
The open investigation is being conducted by the Marseille research section and the Salon-de-Provence research brigade.
