Bottles of Evian brand water destined for destruction were found on sale in Marseille. The Danone group, parent company of Evian announced it this Tuesday evening. He claims to have filed a complaint and invites people in possession of these 50 cl bottles, with labels in languages Korean or Arabic to get closer to consumer service.
Last January, after an incident on the production line of its factory, the manufacturer entrusted these batches to an outside company responsible for destroying them. Danone claims to have even received all the certificates of destruction. And yet, lots have been found in local shops in Marseille.
Dangerous or non-standard bottles?
Are these bottles of mineral water dangerous? It’s still unclear because the company just says they don’t respond to their “quality standards“. Without further details. Without saying either how many bottles are concerned.
According to Agence France Presse, there was recently resale deal rumor of 1 million 400,000 bottles. This anonymous source claimed that Evian had paid a company several tens of thousands of euros to destroy them. Information that the Danone group has not confirmed.
