Borough of Ville-Marie | The man stabbed on Sunday is finally dead

The man stabbed during an altercation that had degenerated in Chinatown in Montreal overnight from Sunday to Monday finally died on Monday. So it’s 34e murder to occur in the metropolis this year.

The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) confirmed his death late Monday evening.

The 34-year-old man was known to police circles. One or more suspects are still being sought.

The event occurred around 10 p.m. at the intersection of rue Clark and rue de la Gauchetière Ouest, in the borough of Ville-Marie.

According to preliminary information released by the SPVM, the victim was injured at least once in the upper body by a knife during a conflict involving several people.

Note that another man, this 19-year-old, was also stabbed to death on the night of Saturday to Sunday in Montreal, this time in the borough of Outremont.
