The teenager, hit by a projectile from a firearm in the lower body, was found around 7 p.m. on rue Biret. The victim had been dropped off by two young men in a vehicle, who then fled.

Transported to the hospital, the teenager is in stable condition, but considered serious. He has lost a lot of blood, and will have to undergo surgery.

However, the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) has very little information on the circumstances or the location of the crime.

“The young man said he didn’t know what happened and where it all happened,” said SPVM spokesperson Raphaël Bergeron.

No bullet casings were found at the scene, and police say they received no calls of gunfire in the area.
