To celebrate the great history, a large popular festival was organized to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Bordeaux (Gironde).

It doesn’t take much for bodies to loosen up. With a rhythm, the whole crowd opens the ball. A popular festival was organized on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of the city of Bordeaux (Gironde), Saturday August 31. “It was an extraordinary liberation for everyone,” remembers William, who was 6 years old when the war ended. While the Allies liberated France during World War II, they also spread their culture. 80 years later, jazz notes still ring out in the heart of Bordeaux.

This period fragrance brings together all generations. In total, more than 1,000 amateur dancers and a few hip-swinging enthusiasts gathered for one evening. “Dancing is truly a philosophy of life.”says a woman in the crowd. This Liberation Ball could become a permanent event and thus become a popular event at the end of each summer.
