With the rise in fuel prices, home deliveries, which had experienced an initial rebound during the pandemic, seem to be continuing.

What if shopping at the supermarket or picking them up at the drive was a thing of the past? In times of inflation, the French favor delivery. According to the latest figures, food deliveries have increased by 10%. Evidenced by the conversion of a warehouse of a major brand, originally intended for the drive, which is now mainly used to prepare home orders.

Delivery costs three to five euros for orders under €150. Even in times of inflation, customers find their way there. “You can easily choose the item you want to buy, so you can manage your budget very finely “, explains Mourad Bensadik, e-commerce director France of Carrefour. Note the appearance in the city centers of ultra-fast delivery services, in 10 or 15 minutes. But these offer a smaller choice than in the big brands.
