Literary weekend in Trois-Rivières

It’s not too late to go take a trip to the Trois-Rivières Book Fair, which is being held until Sunday at the Conference Center at the Delta Hotel in Trois-Rivières. Éditions Hannenorak is the publisher in the spotlight this year – the ideal opportunity to discover inspiring new releases at the Je lis indigenous kiosk. Dany Laferrière is the writer in residence of this 36e edition and will participate, among other things, in a round table, Sunday, with the guest of honor Zachary Richard, on the imprints of elsewhere in Quebec literature. During the weekend, we will also be able to meet authors such as Sarah-Maude Beauchesne (also guest of honor), Marie Hélène Poitras and Guillaume Morrissette.

Leaf Merchant

128 pages

The child in the mirror, by Nelly Arcan, will be reborn in a new illustrated edition. It was Montreal author and illustrator Arizona O’Neill who brought it back to life in images. Originally published in 2007, the story chronicles the anxiety associated with the pursuit of beauty, weight loss and the desire for perfect skin. A first, shorter edition was then published, illustrated by Pascale Bourguignon; this new book will allow you to (re)discover the text in its entirety. In bookstores from April 15.
