Booder: This disease that almost won

Disaster is not far away for Booder. The 43-year-old comedian, who will be on the jury for the new TF1 program “Visual Suspect” presented by Arthur this Friday, June 17, almost lost his life when he was very young. He was suffering from bronchiolitis, with “very pronounced” asthma, preventing him from breathing.

“When the village doctor, who was also an electrician and mechanic, saw me, he told my mum that this kid wouldn’t make it through the winter” had he entrusted to the microphone of Nikos Aliagas last February in 50’Inside. “I am living my second life. I wasn’t supposed to be there, but I’m here” he also added, explaining that at the time, in his childhood village located in Morocco, this disease was unknown. Eventually, things worked out for him.

heroic parents

“My mum told him about the doctor’s concerns and my dad said no, this child will live, I will take you back to France. I arrived with my mom, at the Necker hospital and seeing my mother happy to see her child live, that was my charger” he said, taken by the emotion. He took the opportunity to share all the admiration he has for his parents whom he describes as “heroes”. “They made me who I am today. A perfect education for me, tolerance, living together and always being on the positive side ” he added.

Since then, Booder has had a great career as a comedian with the success we know today. An atypical humor, just like his physique. But the Franco-Moroccan has always denied being affected by a genetic disease, contrary to popular belief. “When you type “Booder” on Google for example, you find: “Booder disease”. I’m not sick, I’m in great shape, everything is fine!” he explained in his autobiography.

He has precisely decided to make his physical difference a strength. “Concerning my physique which is atypical and well it is my work tool. I have no complex” he confessed to France Soir. “With girls it’s also fine, I’ve always managed to be accepted as I am” also revealed, he who is not used to sharing his private life. What we do know, however, is that he is the father of a little boy born in 2011, whom he has already shown on his social networks to make sketches but without revealing his face.
