According to information from BFMTV, a 22-year-old young man alerted the Bas-Rhin gendarmes early in the morning this Saturday, September 30, 2023: the man indicated that he had discovered a suspicious garbage bag, hidden in a bush, below the RD350. The Plaine gendarmes are actively searching young Lina, 15 years old, missing for a week. The security perimeter was widened in order to broaden the search around the road where the young girl was seen one last time, who was preparing, according to investigative evidence, to take the train to join her boyfriend, Tao, 19 years old.
“Acts of technical and scientific police on the sidelines” of the RD350 were carried out throughout the morning according to the aforementioned news channel, in order to shed light on the contents of the suspicious garbage bag denounced by the witness. But quickly, the police and scientists made a macabre discovery on the same site, and discovered suspicious bones. Fortunately for Lina’s family, the forensic doctor from the Strasbourg forensic institute, dispatched to the scene, the bones were “formally” identified as being “animal in nature”. The Saverne public prosecutor, Aline Clérot, confirmed the information from BFMTV.
The security perimeter was quickly lifted
Faced with this new failure, the security perimeter had to be quickly lifted, mid-morning. Investigations around the six targeted vehicles continue throughout Saturday, September 30, in order to establish possible links with Lina’s disappearance. Investigators are trying to geographically find the young woman’s cell phone, which rang one last time at 11:22 a.m. on September 23, 2023, and who has remained untraceable since. The possibility of a potential escape has been ruled out, as Lina has not used her bank account since her disappearance… Lina’s boyfriend, Tao, overwhelmed by numerous rumors targeting him on social networks, explained that the young teenager was to join him in Strasbourg to “spend the afternoon together shopping”. But the young woman, who lives three kilometers from the station, never arrived safely.
