“Bon courage” by Leslie Medina, a singular universe

After making a name for herself in the cinema, the young woman, born in 1992 and originally from the Lyon region, is reconnecting with what punctuates her daily life: melodies. The click happened in 2018 : while her father has just given her an electric piano, Leslie understands that she wants to compose, produce and sing. Very quickly, she got a Midi keyboard and spent more than 300 hours in less than a year watching YouTube tutorials with the idea of being totally independent from a musical point of view.

Today she presents to us his first EP in which we find “Even again happy” and “Venice”, his first two singles having already accumulated more than 200,000 plays this year.

Leslie Medina has only one watchword: asserting one’s desires and assuming one’s influences, drawn from the heart of the 1980s and 1990s. Without being limited to it: just listen to the 6 tracks of her EP to understand that this singer-songwriter makes good use of her references, dares to have an atypical tone and never take it easy. Whether it attacks patriarchy, documents intimacy, poetizes romantic feelings or makes melancholy dance with voluptuousness, the bang is permanent.
