An Ontario man has ended up in hospital and may have to spend time at the courthouse after a bomb he was working on exploded.
Police in Guelph, Ontario, said they had to go to the Guelph hospital Sunday morning to meet a patient who had gone there to have injuries to his hands treated.
The 27-year-old man admitted to authorities that he made a small explosive device that detonated in his hands, leading to a charge of possession of an explosive device.
On Monday, the police force entered the neighborhood where the explosion occurred in order to search the man’s home to collect evidence, which caused some commotion and led to street closures for a few hours. .
Investigators have not revealed why the man was trying to make a bomb.
