Bomb call in a secondary school in Repentigny

A secondary school in Repentigny had to be completely evacuated due to a bomb threat, Monday afternoon, on the north shore of Montreal.

The incident occurred when classes had just ended at the Jean-Baptiste-Meilleur school, located on Iberville Boulevard, according to the police.

“The students were already leaving school, but we still evacuated them,” said Bruno Marier, spokesman for the police force.

At the end of the afternoon, the police searched the establishment, but nothing suspicious had been discovered.

A police investigation has been opened to try to trace the author of this bomb call.

This would be at least the 16th event in which an educational institution in the province has been placed in confinement or evacuated due to a potential threat since the start of the school year.
