A resident of Pierre-Bourgault Street called emergency services around 5 a.m. after hearing gunshots, according to Inspector Martin Charron of the Régie intermunicipale de police Thérèse-De Blainville.
Régie police were dispatched to the scene, where damage caused by projectiles was observed on a residence and a vehicle. A perimeter was erected in the residential area and officers interviewed witnesses.
“The investigation is continuing to determine the causes and circumstances of the event,” said Inspector Charron, noting that “this is not something that happens frequently on our territory, fortunately.”
