Boisbriand | Fire kills two people

Two people died from their injuries after a fire in a Boisbriand residence Friday morning.


The fire broke out shortly before 8:30 a.m. in a house located on Beth-Halevy Street, confirmed the Régie intermunicipale de police Thérèse-De Blainville.

Everything indicates that it was an accidental fire, according to the authorities. “The fire, for its part, was quickly brought under control by the fire department and could be of accidental origin. This is what our investigators and fire scene technicians will try to determine in the coming hours,” indicates inspector Karine Desaulniers.

Two people who were in the home were hospitalized shortly after firefighters arrived. One of them died on the spot. The second person was pronounced dead at the hospital. The victims are a man and a woman, aged 91 and 46 respectively.
