A young child died after being found seriously injured in a residence in Bois-des-Filion, a municipality in the northern suburbs of Montreal.
The intermunicipal police service of Terrebonne, Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines and Bois-des-Filion indicates that it intervened on the 34e avenue, in Bois-des-Filion, around 5:30 p.m.
When officers arrived on scene, they located a seriously injured child. Despite resuscitation maneuvers, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation was launched to establish the circumstances of the event and several people are currently being met, said the police, who provided few details on the event Monday evening.
Investigators and forensic identification technicians are on site while the Sûreté du Québec is collaborating in the investigation.
