Bois-des-Filion: a house destroyed by flames

A house was ravaged by flames on Sunday morning in Bois-des-Filion, in the Laurentians.

The fire broke out shortly after 6 a.m. in a residence on 29th Avenue. The blaze being important, firefighters from Blainville, Sainte-Thérèse and Terrebonne took part in the operation.

“When the first firefighters arrived on site, the fire was already ravaging a good part of the 1-story house,” said the Caserne Sainte-Thérèse in a Facebook post.

The Lanaudière-Laurentides Auxiliary Firefighters Association was also called in to provide support to the residents of the house, as well as to the firefighters on site.

Police came to secure the area and an investigator should go to the scene to determine the cause of this fire which completely destroyed the house.
