The City of Montreal issued a preventive boil water advisory on Tuesday targeting the borough of Montreal North, following a drop in pressure caused by a manipulation of the water supply network.
The notice is in effect “until further notice,” the City of Montreal announced in a press release.
Residents affected by the advisory should boil water for at least one minute before drinking or using it to brush their teeth, according to the municipality. Unboiled water can, however, be used for other household purposes.
