The sectors of Pierrefonds-Roxboro, Pointe-Claire, Dollard-Des-Ormeaux, Kirkland, L’Île-Bizard – Sainte-Geneviève and Baie-d’Urfé are subject to a boil water advisory. It is in effect from Saturday until further notice.

This notice is caused by “a non-compliant result of the water quality on a sampling point on the network” details a press release from the City of Montreal published on Saturday.

Residents should boil water for at least one minute to drink or brush their teeth. All other domestic uses, including hygiene measures, do not require boiling the water, the press release said.

“This instruction is in effect until further notice. As soon as the situation is restored, a notice of return to normal will be issued, ”concludes the City of Montreal.
