The show’s star real estate broker Number 1, Christine Girouard, as well as her business and life partner Jonathan Dauphinais-Fortin, had their real estate brokerage license suspended Friday by the OACIQ.
The brokerage license is linked to an agency, in this case, RE/MAX D’ICI, which has decided to terminate the contracts. “The OACIQ has received such an administrative notice from RE/MAX D’ICI, concerning Christine Girouard and Jonathan Dauphinais-Fortin, and their suspension is effective from noon this Friday, May 19, ”confirms the organization.
Since Wednesday, the Real Estate Brokerage Self-Regulatory Organization (OACIQ) conducts its investigation and contacts all the people who have worked directly or indirectly with the two brokers.

Christine Girouard had 33 properties for sale under her name at REMAX/D’ICI on Wednesday. She transferred 13 of her sales contracts to broker Carolyne Laurier, who was part of Team Christine Girouard and had no property to sell in her name. The other 20 contracts were cancelled.
According to the rules of the OACIQ, Ms.me Girouard is not entitled to collect a commission on the brokerage contracts transferred to his former colleague. If the broker had the idea of providing invoices for home staging or any other billing deemed bogus by the OACIQ, it would place itself in a situation of aggravation of the facts under investigation.
The two real estate brokers, who worked at REMAX/D’ICI, were shown the door on Wednesday following the investigation by The Press which revealed that they had made bogus bids using relatives to create artificial bids.
This scheme orchestrated by Mr.me Girouard and M. Dauphinais-Fortin caused Mackenson Latour and his wife Marie Magdala Azar to pay $40,000 too much for their Repentigny home.
