Boeing’s uncrewed Starliner capsule returns to Earth a success

(Washington) The capsule Starliner Boeing’s spacecraft returned to Earth on Saturday without the astronauts who had taken it to the International Space Station (ISS), after NASA deemed the risk too great, according to images released by the agency.

The capsule, which had left the ISS about six hours earlier, landed gently at White Sands Space Force Base in New Mexico around 12:01 a.m. ET, its descent slowed by parachutes and cushioned by airbags.
