François Bouchard, already accused of indignity to a corpse in the disturbing case of the body found torn to pieces in Quebec, will be officially charged Friday morning with first degree murder. His two accomplices are targeted by a new charge of complicity after the fact.

Bouchard, 31, was arrested on September 17 on the indigenous territory of Kahnawake in the company of Cassandra Major and Jean-Philippe Lamontagne.
The trio was quickly linked to the discovery of shredded and burned human remains on the grounds of a Quebec tree pruning company earlier in the day.

Two weeks after the start of this worrying affair, the work of investigators made it possible on Friday morning to bring the most serious charge in the Criminal Code against François Bouchard, premeditated murder.
Exact date unknown
According to the indictment filed, the murder of Santiago Gaona was committed “between September 8 and 16” in Candiac.
Remember that Bouchard’s residence in Contrecoeur had been searched from top to bottom by investigators and experts from the Forensic Medicine Laboratory.
