The body of a Mexican worker who disappeared after the collapse of a bridge hit by a ship on March 26 in Baltimore, on the east coast of the United States, has been found, the Mexican government announced Monday April 15. This is the body of Carlos Daniel Hernandez, who was carrying out road repair work on the Francis Scott Key Bridge when he was struck by the Singaporean container ship Dalí, indicated on the social network X the Mexican Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alicia Barcena.

Two other workers were found dead shortly after the accident, although emergency services were able to treat two last workers. Three workers are still missing and considered deceased.

As for the boat, it is still stuck on site, under debris from the bridge, blocking part of maritime transport in one of the busiest ports in the country. A temporary navigation corridor was opened to allow the passage of vessels carrying out rescue and clearance operations. The US Federal Police (FBI) have opened an investigation into the accident.
