Bob Saget’s death caused by head trauma

(Miami) American comedian Bob Saget, found dead in a hotel room in Florida in early January, died of head trauma, his family announced in a statement on Wednesday.

The actor, known for his role in the famous sitcom of the years 1980-1990 Full househad been found unresponsive in a bedroom in Orlando while touring the country, and the circumstances of his death were previously unknown.

“Authorities have determined that Bob died of head trauma,” his family said.

He allegedly “accidentally hit the back of his head on something, didn’t think twice and went to bed”, she said, adding that the death was not related to the consumption of drugs or alcohol.

Bob Saget, who was 65, rose to fame playing Danny Tanner, widowed father of three daughters, including twins played by sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, in Full house.

After his death, the latter had paid tribute to “the most loving, most compassionate and most generous man”.

The comedian, often dubbed ‘America’s Dad,’ was also the narrator’s voiceover on the show. How I met your mother and has appeared numerous times, playing himself, in Surroundingsfrom 2005 to 2010.
