Bichette hit a run-scoring single in the third inning.
Isiah Kiner-Falefa hit a similar single in the fourth.
He also scored a runner with an option in the sixth.
George Springer scored two runs for the Blue Jays, who had lost three straight in Detroit, before showing up in the Windy City.
Alek Manoah left with two outs in the second, injured in the elbow.
Trevor Richards (1-0) took over admirably, getting 10 outs. He gave up just one hit and just one walk.
Tim Mayza, Zach Pop and Yimi Garcia connected with Jordan Romano, author of an eighth save.
Toronto will play again Friday night at home, against Pittsburgh.
This will be the start of a seven-game stay at the Rogers Centre.
The White Sox managed just four hits en route to their eighth straight loss.
Korey Lee homered for the White Sox, who have won just once in their last 13 games.
Chris Flexen (2-5) allowed five walks in five innings, also allowing two runs and four hits.
