The organization responsible for the Festival d’été de Québec (FEQ) will announce this Wednesday the establishment of Bleufeu, an entity that will now oversee its festivals (FEQ, Toboggan and Saint-Roch XP), L’Impérial Bell and another recently acquired shows.

“The organization’s employees who are with us year-round, that is to say the management team and some sixty employees, will work for Bleufeu to create and carry out various events and to operation of two rooms, summarizes Anne Hudon, who leads this organization.
Joining that is a lot of contract workers — up to 500 during the Summer Festival. This change in structure serves to clarify the mission and above all to promote the development of the NPO’s activities.
Bleu feu thus presents itself, on a smaller scale, as a structure similar to evenko, which notably produces shows at the Bell Centre, festivals (Osheaga, Heavy MTL, etc.) and owns Spectra, itself the organizer of the Francos, the Montreal International Jazz Festival and operates L’Astral and MTelus.
