(Toronto) Alek Manoah’s serious troubles eventually led the Toronto Blue Jays to send him to the minor leagues.
The club traded the 25-year-old right-hander to the rookie-level Florida Training Complex League.
The day before, the winner of 16 games last year was chased after a single out against Houston, giving up six points and seven hits.
The loss dropped Manoah’s record to 1-7, in addition to raising his GAA to 6.36.
His only victory was acquired on April 5, in Kansas City.
Manoah was an All-Star in 2022, going 16-7 and averaging 2.24.
In his big league debut in 2021, he went 9-2 with a 3.22 GAA.
