Indeed, the last version of the activity took place in 2019, just before the start of the pandemic. The organizers are now ready to resume the tradition, and to hold it for the 13e time, assures the director general of the non-profit organization, Marina Dobel.

The popular holiday activity will take place from November 19, every weekend until December 18. The procedure is simple: you choose the model and the colors of your Christmas ball, then with the help of the glassmaker, you blow yourself into the cane using a pipette. “The experience itself is discovering a glass workshop, seeing the furnaces and ovens, and being explained how the blown glass technique works,” summarizes Ms.me Dobel. So it’s still a great activity to do with the family. »

It is possible to go there with the family, either – children are welcome from the age of 3 -, but also with friends or even with colleagues. Small detail: you do not leave immediately with your ball, you have to come back to pick it up a few days later at Espace verre, whose premises are located in a former barracks in the South-West, rue Mill.

Registration is now open on the Espace verre website. Cost: $40 per ball. Saturdays and Sundays from November 19 to December 18, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday evening, December 16, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
