Since the start of the day, at least eight suspects have paraded before the court. The prosecution opposed the release of each of them.

Evan Lavoie, 21, and Andréanne Dominique, 37, each face three charges including kidnapping and serious assault, for events that occurred in Montmagny, between February 12 and 20, indicates the act of denunciation.

Two men aged 38 and 30, Rémi Fournier and Dave Galienne-Picard, allegedly committed the same offenses, in a similar period.

These accusations follow the major police operation which led to the arrest of three suspects Friday afternoon on the Trans-Comté road in Montmagny.

Charlotte Montambault-Vaillancourt is also one of the people arrested by the police. The 32-year-old woman allegedly had GHB, cocaine and methamphetamines in her possession, with the aim of trafficking them.

Nicholas Côté, 45, is also accused of setting fire to KCR Karting, in Château-Richer, earlier this month.

According to the denunciation, he could have conspired with four other people: Patrick Boisvert, Pierre-Alexandre Paquet-Couturier, Ronnie-James St-Hilaire and Carl Martineau.

Double attempted murder

Later Saturday afternoon, three other suspects appeared in court.

The first two, Francis Gauthier-Marcoux, 32, and Bianca Simard, 28, face charges of attempted murder and conspiracy.

Arrested the day before in the Lebourgneuf district, the suspects allegedly participated in a double murder attempt that occurred in broad daylight on Highway 40 last November.

In this case, Sara Terzini and Tommy Trépanier had already pleaded guilty last fall.

On the other hand, Maxime Maheux faces two counts relating to arson which occurred in Sainte-Marguerite en Beauce.

On October 31, firefighters were called to the industrial boulevard for two buildings on fire and the 25-year-old man is the main suspect in this case linked to organized crime. The suspects will return to the Quebec courthouse on Wednesday morning for further proceedings.

The SQ on mission

These appearances come the day after a vast offensive launched by police officers from the Sûreté du Québec and elsewhere in the province to put a stop to the violent acts generated by a conflict between the Hells Angels and drug traffickers led by the kingpin Dave “Pic” Turmel.
