A Quebec family is the subject of a documentary by National Geographic whose trailer was unveiled on Friday.
The film crew of the movie – titled Blink – accompanied the Pelletier-Lemay family on a trip around the world in 2022 and 2023.
Edith Lemay and Sébastien Pelletier are the parents of four children – Mia, Léo, Colin and Laurent. All but Léo have retinitis pigmentosa, a degenerative genetic disease that eventually leads to blindness.
The documentary premieres August 30-31 at the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado. It will be released in theaters October 4 – including in Montreal – and will be available on Disney+ at a later date. It was directed by Ontario native Daniel Roher, whose previous feature, Navalnywon the Oscar for best documentary in 2023.
