Tuesday, April 19, two explosions caused by homemade bombs took place in a school for boys in the Afghan capital. There are currently six dead and more than twenty injured. The action has not been claimed.
Charred books and school bags strewn in pools of blood. At least six people died and 24 others injured in the explosion of two homemade bombs, at the exit of a school for boys in Kabul (Afghanistan). “When we walked through the main gate, we arrived in the street. Some of our friends had lost their hands, others were covered in blood. People from the area came to take the injured to the hospital”says a witness.
Made aware of the explosion, a shopkeeper ran to the scene to look for a friend and was hit by a second salvo: “My friend’s phone was switched off. I went to the site and that’s where I was hit by the second explosion”. The school is located in a neighborhood populated mainly by the Shiite Hazara community which has already been targeted by several attacks, in particular orchestrated by the Islamic State. For the moment the attack has not been claimed but it raises the question of security against the Taliban who have regained power for eight months.
